Shannon was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida. After high school, she moved to Orlando and attended The University of Central Florida for 2 years before moving back home, where she found her passion in veterinary medicine shortly after. Shannon decided to pursue a career in the industry and was accepted to St. Petersburg College.
Shannon graduated from St. Petersburg College with a Veterinary Technology degree. In December of 2012, Shannon became a Certified Veterinary Technician and then went to became certified in the state of Florida as well. Shannon is currently working towards her Veterinary Technician Specialty Certification in Emergency and Critical Care.
Shannon worked for over 10 years as a technician at a local general practice, and she also worked for three years at an emergency practice. In July of 2014, Shannon joined the Emergency and Critical Care team at Specialized Veterinary Services.
In her spare time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband, infant son and three daughters as well as her 5 cats, which include Dobby the Sphynx, 17-year-old domestic short hair Pumpkin, Rudy, Chubbie, and Bucky and her 3 dogs, Rommel the Rottweiler, Busa the Doberman, and Sandy the Cairn Terrier Mix. When not caring for her family or fur babies, she enjoys lazy days at the beach and camping.
