From Canada, Julie was raised in Chicoutimi, a city north east of Quebec City, a paradise of mountains, lakes, parks, wildlife, and sure, snow for many months!
Julie received her diploma in Technical Natural Habitats with a specialization in Technical Veterinary Medicine. She then went on to obtain her certification in 2008. After graduation, Julie worked for a local veterinary hospital.
In 2010, Julie moved to Fort Myers to be with Christian, her husband and Charley, their 10-year-old German Shepard. She joined the team at SVS in February 2015, and she loves working in the emergency department. Selected by her coworkers, Julie was awarded our “Top Dog” achievement in the 4th quarter of 2015 for her continued excellence in patient care!
Julie has two grown children, a daughter and a son, and they both enjoy the winter more than Julie! They still reside in Canada. After missing her children, family and friends, Julie and her husband adopted a few new members to their fur-family. They now have Rowdy, a 14-year-old Welsh Corgi, Oliver, the French Bulldog, and then most recently Eyeleen, a Chihuahua. They also have three cats (Pinto, Bobby and Binx), a fresh water fish tank, and two parrots (Sunny and Skipper).
