Heather was born and raised in Fort Myers, FL. She grew up with two boxers, Rocky and Chloe, who sadly passed away. She is hoping to adopt another boxer soon though!
Working with animals has been Heather’s dream since she was a child. She graduated from the Heritage Institute in Jan, 2016 and received her AAS in veterinary technology. While working in the veterinary field over the last couple of years, she found a strong interest in animal ER. She plans on enrolling in UF’s animal forensics program in the winter because she has always had a strong passion for animal rescue. For Heather, there is no better feeling than helping and being the voice for the animals who can’t speak for themselves.
In her spare time, Heather likes to spend time with her daughter, or as she calls her, “my mini-me.” She also enjoys taking road trips, salt water fish (because sharks are her favorite creatures), and hunting up north when she gets the chance. As for her future, Heather would love to travel to South Africa or Australia to swim with sharks when she’s not helping her fury four-legged friends.
